System Overview

NOMAD X is a trailer-mounted Mobile X-Ray Vehicle and Container Scanning System — all components integrated on a single trailer unit. It brings Dual Energy LINAC scanning capability — the same technology used in permanent fixed installations — to any location in the world, without civil works, foundations or permanent infrastructure.

Offering both Gantry Mode for stationary vehicle scanning and Portal Mode for continuous drive-through inspection, NOMAD X delivers up to 60 truck scans per hour at remote borders, temporary checkpoints and surge operations where a fixed system cannot be installed.

What the Operator Sees

Dual Energy LINAC delivers the same colour-coded material discrimination as a fixed gantry installation — organic, metallic and mixed profiles immediately distinguishable, AI-flagged threats ranked for operator review in real time.

How NOMAD X Works

Everything on one trailer. Drive to site, raise the system, begin scanning. No civil works, no foundations, no advance installation.

Step 01

The System Arrives as a Single Trailer Unit

NOMAD X arrives on-site as a standard road trailer. All components — the X-Ray source, detector arrays, control workstation, power systems and radiation safety enclosure — are pre-integrated on a single trailer chassis.

No advance site preparation is needed. No concrete foundations, no permanent electrical installation, no civil engineering. The system is towed to position and site setup begins immediately on arrival.

Step 02

Dual Energy LINAC Scans the Vehicle

In Gantry Mode, the scanning arm traverses a stationary vehicle at 0.40 m/s — delivering 20 full-vehicle scans per hour. In Portal Mode, vehicles drive through at a minimum of 5 km/h for continuous throughput of up to 60 trucks per hour, without stopping.

The Dual Energy LINAC beam simultaneously measures attenuation at two energy levels across the full 4.7m × 2.8m aperture — penetrating dense steel cargo and resolving material composition throughout the full depth of a loaded container.

Step 03

AI and Operator Review — Then Relocate

Scan data is processed simultaneously by AI-driven and conventional image processing. Colour-coded dual energy output shows organic, inorganic and mixed material profiles. AI flags suspicious regions — weapons, explosives, contraband, cigarettes — ranked by priority for operator decision.

When the operation ends, the system is retracted, hitched to a tractor unit and driven to the next deployment. 24/7 continuous operation is supported — the system runs without interruption across extended shifts.

NOMAD X vs. TITANSON — Mobile vs. Fixed

Both systems use identical Dual Energy LINAC technology. The difference is infrastructure: one needs foundations, one needs a tractor unit.

NOMAD X — Mobile
  • All components on a single trailer — no civil works
  • Dual Energy LINAC — identical penetration to fixed systems
  • 60 trucks/hr in Portal Mode
  • Fully relocatable — drive to any site worldwide
  • 24/7 continuous operation
  • Rapid deployment — operational on arrival
  • Slightly lower gantry throughput vs. permanent fixed systems
TITANSON — Fixed Gantry
  • Permanent installation — maximum throughput (100 trucks/hr Portal)
  • Dual Energy LINAC — identical penetration
  • Extended scan length up to 20m
  • Cross-system data sharing between networked TITAN units
  • Requires foundations and permanent civil installation
  • Fixed location — cannot be relocated

Where NOMAD X Operates

Engineered for every operational environment where a fixed installation is impractical, impossible or not yet built.

Remote Land Borders

Where permanent infrastructure doesn't exist or can't be justified commercially. NOMAD X provides full Dual Energy LINAC scanning at any border crossing in the world.

Both modes available No infrastructure needed

Port & Terminal Surge

When fixed systems are overloaded, offline for maintenance or insufficient for peak volumes. NOMAD X deploys alongside existing infrastructure within hours.

Portal Mode preferred 60 trucks/hr capacity

International Operations

NOMAD X can be transported internationally by road or sea — deploying scanning capability to any country in the world as a complete, self-contained unit.

Road or sea transport Operational on arrival

Contingency & Crisis Response

Rapid deployment to support border security operations during crises, mass migration events or enforcement surges — on the ground and operational faster than any alternative.

Rapid deployment 24/7 continuous
