System Overview

SWIFTGATE is a fixed-installation X-Ray Fast Truck and Container Scanning System — purpose-engineered for maximum throughput at high-volume commercial ports, land border crossings and customs clearance facilities where traffic flow must never be interrupted.

Powered by 4/6 MeV Dual Energy LINAC technology, SWIFTGATE operates exclusively in Portal Mode: vehicles drive through at normal operating speed — no stopping, no driver interaction, no checkpoint delay. The system delivers 100 full-vehicle scans per hour with the same high-penetration, high-resolution imaging found across the Gantrix™ Series.

What the Operator Sees

4/6 MeV Dual Energy LINAC produces sharper, more detailed imaging than conventional X-Ray systems. Spatial resolution of ≥ 4mm horizontal and ≥ 5mm vertical — sufficient to resolve individual cigarette packs and wire bundles within a fully loaded container.

How SWIFTGATE Works

Designed around a single principle — vehicles never stop. Portal Mode delivers 100 full-vehicle scans per hour without disrupting commercial traffic flow.

Step 01

The Vehicle Drives Through — No Stop Required

SWIFTGATE operates exclusively in Portal Mode. The truck or container vehicle drives through the fixed scanning portal at normal operating speed — no stopping, no driver instruction, no checkpoint delay. The portal integrates seamlessly into the existing traffic lane.

At 100 trucks per hour, SWIFTGATE can clear a vehicle every 36 seconds around the clock — sustaining throughput that no inspection regime based on manual checks or stop-and-scan systems can match.

Step 02

4/6 MeV Dual Energy LINAC Images the Full Vehicle

As the vehicle passes, the 4/6 MeV Dual Energy LINAC beam sweeps the full 4.7m × 2.6m aperture — simultaneously measuring attenuation at two energy levels across the entire scan width. The specific MeV configuration delivers high-penetration imaging through dense steel cargo while maintaining the contrast sensitivity needed to resolve concealed threats.

Spatial resolution of ≥ 4mm horizontal and ≥ 5mm vertical — and contrast sensitivity of IQI 0.8% at 100mm — ensures that fine detail is captured even at 100 trucks per hour throughput.

Step 03

AI Analysis Runs Simultaneously — Flagged Vehicles Diverted

AI-driven and conventional image processing run in parallel as the scan is generated. Colour-coded dual-energy output shows organic, inorganic and mixed material profiles across the full vehicle cross-section. Suspicious regions are automatically flagged and ranked for operator review.

The operator reviews flagged scans at the workstation — which supports up to ×64 zoom, 4-image side-by-side comparison and automatic histogram equalisation. Flagged vehicles are directed to secondary inspection. The flow of clear vehicles continues uninterrupted at 100 trucks per hour.

SWIFTGATE vs. TITANSON — Speed vs. Flexibility

Both systems share the same Dual Energy LINAC technology and fixed-installation format. SWIFTGATE is optimised purely for throughput — TITANSON adds dual-mode flexibility.

SWIFTGATE — Portal Optimised
  • 100 trucks/hr — maximum Portal Mode throughput
  • 4/6 MeV Dual Energy LINAC — MeV rating specified
  • Spatial resolution published: ≥ 4mm / ≥ 5mm
  • Contrast sensitivity published: IQI 0.8% @ 100mm
  • No stop required — zero traffic disruption
  • ±64 zoom, 4-image comparison, cross-system data share
  • Portal Mode only — no Gantry Mode option
TITANSON — Dual Mode
  • Gantry Mode: 20 trucks/hr (vehicle stationary)
  • Portal Mode: 100 trucks/hr (drive-through)
  • Dual Energy LINAC — same penetration class
  • Extended scan length up to 20m (L)
  • Cross-system TITAN network data sharing
  • Two-mode operation adds installation complexity

Where SWIFTGATE Operates

Built for the highest-volume inspection environments — where throughput is the primary operational constraint and traffic must never queue.

Commercial Port Terminals

Container throughput operations where 100+ vehicles per hour must be inspected without creating vehicle queues or disrupting port scheduling.

Portal Mode onlyCustoms DB integration

High-Volume Land Borders

Major land border crossings where commercial freight volume demands continuous drive-through inspection — no checkpoint stop, no manifest delay for clear vehicles.

ANPR integration100 trucks/hr

Customs Clearance Facilities

Inland customs depots processing high volumes of inbound freight under time-sensitive clearance requirements. SWIFTGATE scans without holding up the delivery chain.

24/7 capableCross-system data

International Trade Corridors

Strategic trade route checkpoints where bilateral inspection agreements require 100% scanning of commercial vehicles — without the throughput penalty of stop-and-scan systems.
